New York, NY, USA

Holla! I hope all of you are having an amazing holiday so far. I just started receiving my June Paris Fashion Week invitations and I still can’t believe that the Fall/Winter season is coming so soon. As you guys know, back in May I flew to New York with the Urban Decay team to attend Urban Decay’s AfterDark event which in conjunction with their launch of their hundred shades of Vice lipstick collection. You can read more about my Urban Decay event post and photoshoot behind the scenes here and here. Here’s a little diary of how my first day was when we arrived.

New York is, no doubt, such a fun city for me and it contains a certain interesting energy that you can only find there. On our very first day, we arrived New York in the evening. We kick started our evening having dinner at The Dutch restaurant.

Here is where you would want to be right now because all we cared about after a long day of travelling and transiting is : drowning is some good food. A lovely evening spent in a lively, modern restaurant with the team and delicious American meal, could we ask for more?

On the next day, we had breakfast at our hotel’s (Nomo Soho) restaurant. I don’t mind having my breakfast everyday in this beautiful space!

The set up of the place is absolutely beautiful. The environment of this restaurant really boosts my mood and cures my jet lag. I ordered baked lemon ricotta pancakes and God did it cheer me up.

After a delightful light breakfast at Nomo restaurant, the team and I decided to go Jack’s Wife Freda, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant for brunch. I highly recommend you guys to try out their Green Shakshuka!

I did a bit of shopping, well window-shopping actually, in Soho, where they have various luxury stores. Don’t you think New York always has the best places to take photos?

I always like to travel comfortably, but never lazy. I love this trench coat from Zara because they’re the prefect combos of casual and chic.

Alright, one of the stores that I must visit in New York is Supreme! Although the store in New York don’t carry much women wear but I was still able to get myself some stuffs from the store.

My partner in crime Mawar!

At night,  we went somewhere high up and enjoyed the New York city night scenery. While I took the photos on top of Empire building, the wind was crazy strong and cold. My hands and ears went numb in a few minutes but it’s so worth it! I can’t even describe how breathtaking it was.

Also, I highly recommend you guys to check out the Rockefeller building at day time to enjoy the New York city day view and the Empire State building at night for night views.

So far, there goes our first day in New York! Hope you guys enjoyed reading!
