It’s time to update my invisalign diary! This time I’m gonna show you guys how to wear and remove your invisalign aligners. As I mentioned on my previous Invisalign post, approximately every two weeks you’ll begin wearing a new set of aligners. Currently I’m on my 17th set of aligners. For the best results, I wear my aligners for 22 hours per day. And the most requested questions I received about Invisalign is “how to wear and remove your invisalign”? Well, actually it’s not difficult to wear and remove your aligners.

Tips on how to wear the first set of Invisalign: Just line them up with your teeth and carefully press them into place. They may feel tight when you first put them in and you will feel slightly pain but trust me the pain is bearable.

Tips on how to removing your Invisalign: It can be a bit awkward when removing aligners. Find a place to slide your fingernail under the back of the aligners and carefully pry it out. This can be a bit painful, but you’ll set used to it in time.

Check out my video below.

Here are some little update on the progress of my Invisalign treatment.

The original state of my teeth.

I’m wearing the 17th set of aligners.

I recommend using the chewies most at the beginning of each set of new aligners. This is the most important part to use chewies when you start a new set of aligners. The purpose of the chewies is to make the aligners are fully seated so they allow for the optimum movement of your teeth.

I’m getting closer to achieve my prefect smile. If you’re interested about Invisalign treatment, feel free to visit mydentist located at Jalan Ipoh or call them at +603 6252 2011 or visit Invisalign Facebook Page

Hi everyone, I always feel that weekend are the prefect time to post something more lifestyle. So, for those of you that have been following me Invisalign diary, here is another quick update. If you read my previous post here and here, you'll know that I'm happy with the results and that wearing Invisalign doesn't really bother me at all, except that have to take off the aligners for meals. Anyway, I already used to it and I have to say Invisalign have be a part of my lifestyle. I'm a busy person, and using Invisalign really fit right into my lifestyle.

Last month I've been traveling like crazy. As I mentioned on my previous post, each aligner set is changed every two weeks. One of the best things about Invisalign not only they are transparent, actually you can changed the aligner set by yourself. If you're too busy and you can't make time back to clinic for Invisalign check up, you can request your dentist to get two more set of aligners and changed the aligner set by yourself for the next two weeks. It's very convenient. but still I will visit mydentist once a month, at least.

Here are some pictures to update you on the progress of my Invisalign treatment.

The original state of my teeth.

I'm wearing the 10th set of aligner.

Can you see the difference? It works wonder! The other day I looked in the mirror and realized that my bottom teeth were now almost straight.

From friends I've heard nothing but positive comments about the changes. If you're interested about Invisalign treatment, feel free to visit mydentist located at Jalan Ipoh or call them at +603 6252 2011.

As you guys should know I started on Invisalign a few months ago. Here's the quick update post about my Invisalign progress. You can read my first Invisalign post here. Currently I wearing my 8th set of aligners, I was told would be wearing 28 sets of aligners. So there's still have 20 sets of aligners to go. I have to say I'm looking forward to getting the whole process going. Because through the months my teeth have become more and more straight. Normal traditional braces need about 2 or 3 years to straighten your teeth. Invisalign works just like braces and I can see Invisalign works better than traditional braces. Here are some photos I took over the past few months.

After I wearing the 8th set of aligner.

Can you see how amazing Invisalign is! My teeth is getting straighten than the first aligners. Happy max!

What's else I did? The Attachments! The Invisalign attachments or buttons help engage the aligners and keep the teeth moving. They are placed using a special aligner for a precise fit. They make the aligners more effective in difficult movements and provide anchorage. It will make your treatment much more successful and allows the system to work to it's potential. They can be placed on the outside of the teeth and do not harm your natural tooth. But the attachments are for specific reasons and not everyone requires them. Some people like me will need to have attachment applied to stubborn teeth. As I said, these tiny "buttons" help the aligner grip and move the tooth. I applied total 11 buttons on my teeth. They are barely noticeable when the aligners are in.

My dentist is from mydentist located at Jalan Ipoh. Here's a complimentary for you! Free professional consultation and check up for Invisalign worth of RM250 for first 30 people to call and make appointment. From 8 June 2015 - 31 July 2015.

I've been bothered by my teeth for years. You might notice that I hardly smile with my mouth open. Every time I'm in front of the camera, I'll always show a "cool" or "fierce" expression or smile with my mouth closed. To be honest, sometimes I don't feel confident with my teeth, because my teeth are crooked, especially my upper teeth. I am very self-conscious with my teeth, and I have always wished that I can have a big smile or laugh in front people without worrying about showing my teeth. Well, I have found my best option to straighten my crooked teeth without metal braces.

What is Invisalign treatment? Invisalign aligners are used to straighten crooked or crowded teeth. Unlike traditional braces or retainers, the Invisalign system is a virtually invisible method of straightening your teeth that uses removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner every two weeks, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week, gradually moving towards the projected final position. So, what are the main benefits over braces?

Customized - Personal Custom-made aligners using 3D simulating software from beginning to the end of Invisalign treatment.
Removable - Can be removed while eating, also enabling us to maintain good oral hygiene.
Comfortable - Unlike braces, they're comfortable to wear as there are no metal wire and brackets that could potentially irritate your mouth or gums.
Virtually invisible - It's hardly noticeable!

I'm getting my Invisalign treatment done at mydentist located at Jalan Ipoh. For my first visit to MyDentist I expected that it would just be a normal verbal consultation with some simple teeth checking. Actually I'm the kind of person that gets very nervous and anxious whenever I visit the dentist, but I was surprised with their services. Friendly and professional! Though I'm still overshadowed by my phobia, it was my best dentist experience ever. I didn't have braces as a teenager so I was worried that my teeth might not be suitable for the procedure. But after a quick check and chat with the orthodontist about my teeth concern, I was told that I am suitable for Invisalign treatment! Yay!

So what's the procedure for Invisalign treatment?

First, the dentist took some X-rays of my teeth, then did some moulds of my teeth and cleaned my teeth in preparation of the aligners. They then sent my mould over to the US for my Invisalign aligners to be manufactured. After a month of waiting I got my own aligners!

Before I proceed to share about my Invisalign diary, here are some pictures of my crooked teeth. You guys can compare it little by little.

When I first got my aligners, it was a little difficult to get used to it because I wasn't used to the foreign object in my mouth. However, it only took me a brief while to get used to it. My teeth weren't as painful as I thought it would be, contrasting to what I've heard from other experiences. The Aligners are convenient to use; they're easy to wear and remove. For me my speech has not really been affected, I may have a lisp for a bit but like I said, it only took me a few days in getting used to it. What surprised me is that no one actually noticed my aligners, until I tell them about it. I have to say that I love it and I'm not shy about my smile and I'm so willing to share about my Invisalign experiences.

I was told that I would be wearing my Invisalign aligners for 48 weeks, but it's based on how much work your teeth needed. I have to wear my aligners at least 22hours a day. Like I've mentioned before, since the aligners are removable, two hours per day is enough for me to take them out to enjoy my delicious meals. This is the main reason on why I choose Invisalign treatment, as it won't affect my appetite. I still can devour my favorite food whenever I want to because it will not cause any discomfort.

Another benefit of Invisalign treatment is that even during its application, it is easy to maintain a good oral hygiene. This is very important for your teeth and gums. I can easily take out my aligners to brush and floss my teeth as usual. Unlike braces, you would have to clean around metal brackets and wires, which can be a nuisance since it is tedious. The aligners are easy to clean too; you can brush your aligners with your toothbrush. Yes, it's that simple.

I started Invisalign treatment to correct my teeth so that I am able to smile comfortably and most importantly Invisalign aligners transform your smile without disrupting your life. I believe that a smile can change everything - your confidence, appearance and life. Currently wearing my first set of aligners and I have so much more to share. So, if you're interested in Invisalign treatment feel free to consult mydentist or visit or Invisalign Malaysia Facebook Page to find out more.

Can you even notice that I'm wearing aligners right now? I'm ready for my new smile and can't wait for my second set of aligners.
